Know before you go

Peak season is December to April. Outside this window sightings are less reliable — contact us before booking.
The Indian Ocean can be rough. If you are prone to seasickness, take medication the night before. Do not eat a heavy meal before boarding.
Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, a light waterproof jacket, and a camera with a good zoom.

Itinerary

Mirissa Harbour — Boarding

Stop: 15 minutes

Board at the Mirissa jetty as the sun rises. Safety briefing, life jacket fitting, and introductions from your marine biologist guide.

Offshore Search — Spinner Dolphins

Stop: 60 minutes

Head offshore in search of the resident spinner dolphin pods. Hundreds of dolphins are often seen bow-riding and leaping in the boat's wake.

Deep Water Whale Grounds

Stop: 90 minutes

Reach the deep-water feeding grounds where blue whales and sperm whales are most frequently spotted. Your guide explains what to look for and how to read whale behaviour.

Breakfast on Board
